Temporary suspension of water supply in the capital

Water supply has been temporarily suspended in parts of Kyiv due to damage to the energy infrastructure resulting from Russian shelling. This was reported by the press service of Kyivvodokanal on the social network Facebook.

As stated in the official statement, it became known on 3 November that, following enemy attacks and damage to the capital's power grids, the enterprise's main water supply facilities were left without electricity. Consequently, there is currently no water supply in the city.

System restoration works

Kyivvodokanal specialists, together with energy workers, are already working to restore the water supply in the capital. The company emphasised that after electricity is restored, a certain amount of time will be required to carry out the following actions:

  • starting up the equipment;
  • filling the water distribution networks;
  • stabilising pressure in the system.

Where to get drinking water

Kyivvodokanal reminded Kyiv residents that the city has a network of drinking water fountains where residents can collect drinking water. The location of the nearest fountains can be viewed on the electronic map.
