Loss of the last major distribution hub

The last major logistics terminal of the Epitsentr retail chain was destroyed in Khmelnytskyi. Company representatives confirmed that approximately 85% of the goods stored in this warehouse were lost due to the attacks.

Course of the 13 October attack

According to company data, Russian forces attacked the facility ten times on 13 October. This caused five major fires. The situation was complicated by the presence of about 30 drones in the air, which hindered fire crews from effectively extinguishing the blazes.

Consequences for the logistics chain

Earlier strikes had completely destroyed Epitsentr's two largest logistics complexes — in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The warehouse in Khmelnytskyi remained the network's de facto last major distribution centre, through which goods were supplied to stores across Ukraine.

The company reported significant financial losses and the destruction of the logistics chain, the restoration of which may take years.
