Biletskyi: Operation Vivaldi completed, Ukrainian forces liberate 16 settlements

Biletskyi, commander of the Third Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, officially announced the completion of the "Vivaldi" combat operation, which took place on the Lyman axis. According to the military commander, as a result of the actions taken, 16 settlements were returned to Ukrainian control, with the total area of the liberated territory amounting to 277 square kilometres.

Strategic results of the operation

Biletskyi emphasised the importance of the tactical advantages gained. In his words, the actions of the Ukrainian forces made it possible to prevent the flanking of the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and its subsequent encirclement. In addition, the security of the Kharkiv-Sloviansk transport artery was ensured.

«Нашим діям вдалося не допустити обходу Слов’янсько-Краматорської агломерації з флангів та її оточення, а також забезпечити безпеку траси Харків – Слов’янськ. Ми зірвали наступ угруповання «Захід» і змусили противника перекинути частину сил 1-ї танкової армії, що послабило тиск на Куп’янськ-Вузловий» (Our actions managed to prevent the flanking of the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and its encirclement, as well as ensure the safety of the Kharkiv-Sloviansk highway. We thwarted the advance of the "West" grouping and forced the enemy to redeploy part of the forces of the 1st Tank Army, which reduced the pressure on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi), Biletskyi stated.

The military official also noted that the successful resistance forced the enemy to regroup its forces. Specifically, the advance of the "West" grouping was halted, and the redeployment of part of the enemy's 1st Tank Army forces led to a reduction in pressure on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.
