Zelensky reports massive strike on energy infrastructure in Kyiv and Kharkiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported the consequences of the overnight combined attack, which damaged the energy infrastructure of Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, and Kharkiv. According to his data, at least 600,000 people were left without electricity.

Assessment of the strike's nature

The head of state emphasised that the enemy's target was specifically the energy sector. He stressed that the Russian ballistic strike was precise and aimed at the sector regarding which the US President had previously stated the need for a ceasefire.

Appeal to Washington

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasised the need for a full energy ceasefire. He called on the United States of America to impose strict sanctions on Russia, which, in the President's view, is demonstratively ignoring signals from Washington and continuing the war.
