The defence department of the Russian Federation publicly confirmed the violation of the so-called "energy truce" declared by US leader Donald Trump. The statement from the Russian Defence Ministry mentions the deliberate use of means of destruction against Ukraine's infrastructure.

As noted by the Moscow department, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a mass strike during the night. Ground-based precision munitions and long-range strike drones were used for this purpose.

According to representatives of the Russian Defence Ministry, these actions resulted in damage to communications and energy infrastructure facilities. The geography of the strikes covered Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, and Kharkiv Oblast. The statement emphasises that these facilities were used for the benefit of the military-industrial complex and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
