Inclusion in intelligence database

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has added the renowned Russian showman and host of the TV project "Field of Wonders", Leonid Yakubovich, to its database. The official reason for this decision is his consistent public support for the Russian regime and the active spread of Kremlin propaganda.

According to data published on the official GUR database portal, the TV presenter has been included in the list of individuals who systematically facilitate Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. His actions are characterised as distorting facts about the war, glorifying the crimes of Russian military personnel, and supporting the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula.

Russian media are actively spreading information about Yakubovich's inclusion in the Ukrainian "blacklist", although the exact date of this decision is currently unknown.

Role in Russian political processes

Leonid Yakubovich's political activity on the side of the Russian authorities has historical context. As early as 2012, he was a trusted person for Vladimir Putin during the so-called elections. The showman performed a similar function in 2014, when the Russian dictator ran for a fourth presidential term.

Transformation of the TV project

Over time, the "Field of Wonders" programme has turned into an instrument for demonstrating loyalty to the Russian occupation forces. Military personnel who participated in the so-called "special military operation" have appeared on the show. They presented the host with trophies, including downed Ukrainian drones, tank models, and flamethrower systems.

In one of the episodes, Yakubovich also invited actors who presented themselves as displaced persons from Donbas. This move was intended to create a false impression among viewers that Russia is a state that helps refugees.

History of cooperation with Ukrainian television

It is worth noting that in the early 2000s, Leonid Yakubovich was actively working in the Ukrainian television market. In particular, in 2002, the premiere of his show "Dykanka" took place, which was then considered a real sensation for the Ukrainian audience.
