Increase in satellite communication jamming assets
The adversary continues to increase the number of satellite electronic warfare (EW) systems that interfere with the operation of "Starlink". This was stated by off-staff adviser to the President of Ukraine, Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov.
Tactics of cover and concealment
According to Beskrestnov, the enemy uses the principle of object cover, which covers an area of approximately 25 square kilometres. At present, the Russians have covered almost all key facilities in Crimea with this type of EW, and are increasingly applying the system along the front line.
Beskrestnov emphasises a change in the deployment tactics of the equipment: "Давно минули часи, коли цей комплекс РЕБ виглядав як 6 причепів, що стояли поруч на одній площадці. Зараз ворог намагається його маскувати. Основу комплексу становлять супутникові прямофокусні антени діаметром близько метра. При будь-якому маскуванні вони повинні мати відкриту видимість (без перешкод) у зеніті, тому маскування має обмеження" (The days when this EW complex looked like six trailers standing side by side on one site are long gone. Now the enemy is trying to mask it. The core of the complex consists of satellite prime-focus antennas with a diameter of about one metre. Under any masking, they must have an unobstructed view (without obstacles) at the zenith, so masking has limitations).
Technical specifications of the system
As "Flash" points out, the complex can operate even from generators. The EW operates in the frequency range of 14.0–14.5 GHz.
