Ukrainian company Ratel Robotics and Canadian defence giant General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada (GDMS-C) have officially formalised their cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding. The main objective of the agreement is to organise the joint production of ground robotic systems (GRS) in Canada for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The initiative involves combining Ukrainian experience in the development and deployment of autonomous ground systems with the industrial capacity and competencies of the Canadian partner. As reported on the official GDMS-C website, the parties will focus on supporting Ukraine through the development of Ukrainian-made technologies.
GDMS-C General Manager Joel Houd emphasised that Ukraine has become an example of how quickly technologies can be adapted to the operational needs of the front line.
