Plant knocked out by enemy strikes
Energy expert Volodymyr Omelchenko stated that the Prydniprovska Thermal Power Plant in Dnipro has been completely destroyed and is non-functional. The specialist clarified that the plant is shut down, although official statements from the relevant authorities regarding this fact have not yet been released.
Targeted attacks on energy infrastructure
According to Omelchenko, Russian forces continue to carry out systematic strikes on Dnipro's energy infrastructure. The Prydniprovska Power Plant is one of the largest electricity generation facilities in the region, making its vulnerability critical for supply stability.
Blackout continues for second day
Due to the destruction and shutdown of the plant, a blackout has been ongoing for two consecutive days in Dnipro and the surrounding region. The expert added that specific timelines for the restoration of the energy facility's operations are currently unknown.
