Budonov reports successful completion of evacuation from Oleshky

Evacuation completed, residents safe

Kyrylo Budonov, Head of the Presidential Office, announced the successful completion of the humanitarian mission in the temporarily occupied Oleshky in Kherson region. According to him, all parties adhered to the agreements, and the process was carried out at a high professional level.

«Евакуйовані жителі Олешок – у безпеці. Гуманітарна місія завершилась успішно» (The evacuated residents of Oleshky are safe. The humanitarian mission was successfully completed), – Budonov emphasised in his Facebook account.

Human fates behind official figures

The official representative of the Presidential Office emphasised that behind the dry formulations lie real stories of people, years of pain and anxious waiting. He noted that among those saved is a 94-year-old woman, while the youngest child is only one year old.

«Сльози, обійми й нарешті перші хвилини спокою без постійного страху за життя» (Tears, hugs, and finally the first minutes of calm without constant fear for life), – Budonov described the emotional state of the evacuees.

The role of international coordination and internal resources

Budonov underlined that this unprecedented operation became possible thanks to coordination efforts and the personal involvement of US First Lady Melania Trump.

He also expressed gratitude to President Volodymyr Zelensky for the systematic political will aimed at saving Ukrainian citizens. The Head of the Presidential Office extended special thanks to Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets for his work, composure, and coordination of processes directly at the scene of events.

«Протягом усієї операції ми перебували на постійному зв’язку» (Throughout the entire operation, we remained in constant contact), – Budonov added, commenting on the cooperation with Lubinets.

Prospects for further work

The Head of the Presidential Office noted that many details will remain behind the scenes, but emphasised: «Усі сторони дотримались домовленостей та відпрацювали професійно» (All parties adhered to the agreements and worked professionally).

He added that the work will not stop here: «Ми продовжимо роботу: гуманітарні спецоперації мають тривати і перейти у системні рішення» (We will continue our work: humanitarian special operations must continue and transition into systematic solutions).
