The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 245 combat engagements on 31 October. The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where a significant amount of equipment and enemy troops was destroyed.
From the start of the day on 31 October, 245 combat engagements were recorded along the front line. Russian troops demonstrated the highest activity in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 assault attempts by the enemy. These figures are provided in the operational report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 24 hours, the Russian army carried out 53 air strikes, dropping 159 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also used 4,517 suicide drones and conducted 1,927 shelling incidents targeting both populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.
The hottest strip of combat unfolded in the Pokrovsk direction. Fighting took place in the areas of Sofiivka, Toretske, Kucherove Yar, Vylne, Dobropillia, Nove Donbas, Bilitske, Krasnopodillia, Virivka, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Molodetske, Novepidhorodne, Novomykolaivka, Bilakivka, and Novepavlivka. Preliminary calculations by the General Staff indicate that 76 Russian military personnel were killed in 24 hours in this sector of the front, with another 17 wounded. Ukrainian units destroyed four vehicles, one unit of special equipment, three drone control points, an ammunition depot, and 42 enemy shelters. Some enemy equipment and shelters were damaged. In addition, 162 drones of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Defence Forces repelled 15 Russian attempts to advance near Kostiantynivka, Novosilivka, and Mykolaipillia. Thirteen combat engagements were recorded in the South Slobozhanskyi direction, and nine in the Lyman direction.
In the Hulyaipole direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Ternovate, Dolynka, Hirke, Charyvne, and Yehorivka. Seven battles took place in the North Slobozhanskyi direction, and four in the Sloviansk direction.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops halted enemy advances twice near Tykhonivka and Malynivka. One assault attempt was repelled in the Ternove area in the Oleksandrivka direction, while Russian troops were pushed back near Pavlivka in the Orikhiv direction.
No offensive actions by the Russians were recorded in the Kupiansk and Prydniprovske directions. No significant changes in the situation occurred in other sectors of the front.
