The author of the video material on the YouTube channel "HOLOS INFO" expressed concern regarding possible delays in the review of the criminal proceedings against former developer from Ivano-Frankivsk, Oleksandr Vovchuk. According to the journalist, the case is being heard by Dmytro Rudenko, a judge at the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court.
The publication titled "In whose interests is Judge Rudenko acting" states that the court process has been ongoing for about a year and a half, yet the preparatory session only took place recently. The journalist links these delays to multiple postponements of hearings, which were justified by the health condition of the judge and representatives of the prosecution.
According to the video author's calculations, the court scheduled 12 sessions within this criminal proceeding over the past year. However, ten of them did not take place due to illnesses. Specifically, four sessions were postponed due to the illness of Judge Dmytro Rudenko.
Separately, the journalist drew attention to a motion to merge the current proceeding with another case involving Vovchuk, which was also under review at the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court. According to the author, this motion was not considered for a year.
Another criminal proceeding against the developer, which concerned the forgery of documents and abuse of office, was closed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. The journalist believes that the timely merging of the proceedings could have influenced the course of the current case review.
The author also noted that during the postponement of sessions due to the illness of the judge or other participants in the process, the accused Oleksandr Vovchuk and his defence counsel, according to him, did not appear in the courtroom. At the same time, the journalist did not provide evidence that there were coordinated actions between the participants in the process.
A representative of "HOLOS INFO" stated that they will continue to monitor the court sessions in this case. He also called on law enforcement agencies to pay attention to the duration of the proceeding review.
