Expanding the zone of silence for humanitarian needs

Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets announced that the ceasefire regime will be extended not only to the blocked Oleshky but also to other areas of Kherson region and neighbouring regions. This decision was made to ensure safety on the routes along which humanitarian aid will be delivered.

Action plan after establishing silence

According to Lubinets, after the ceasefire regime is established, a comprehensive operation to demine the roads leading to the city will begin. The main task at this stage will be to deliver food, drinking water, and medicines to local residents. It is also planned to supply the local hospital with all necessary resources.

Organising residents' departure

The next step will be organising the departure of all those who wish to leave Oleshky. The Ombudsman noted that Ukraine has proposed a number of new initiatives, which have received support from Russia.

International monitoring

Joint representatives of Ukraine, the US, and Russia will monitor the implementation of the reached agreements.
