Confirmation of technical failure in alert system

Yuriy Ignat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, officially stated that information regarding the possible use of the Oreshnik missile, a radiation threat, a chemical attack, or street fighting in Kyiv is false. According to him, the cause of the spread of these alarming messages was likely interference by malicious actors in the operation of the mobile application.

«За нашою інформацією, додаток «Повітряна тривога» був зламаний» (According to our information, the 'Air Alert' app was hacked), Ignat emphasised, commenting on the situation for RBC-Ukraine.
