Melania Trump: Ceasefire in Oleshky made possible by actions of Putin and Zelensky

During an official ceremony held at the White House, First Lady of the United States Melania Trump made a statement regarding the situation in Oleshky. She emphasised the decisive role of the heads of state in achieving the truce and conveyed personal messages to Zelensky and Putin.

Assessment of diplomatic efforts

Addressing those present, Melania Trump underscored the importance of interaction between the leaders. «Без участі президентів Путіна і Зеленського припинення вогню в Олешках було б неможливим. Їхня спільна робота задає важливий приклад для просування миру в усьому регіоні» ("Without the participation of Presidents Putin and Zelensky, the ceasefire in Oleshky would have been impossible. Their joint work sets an important example for advancing peace throughout the region"), she stated.

Awarding the Ukrainian delegation

As part of the same event, a formal presentation of awards took place. Members of the Ukrainian delegation, Arakhamia and Lubinetz, presented the First Lady of the United States with the Order of Princess Olga.
