Intel shares plunged 30%, triggering a decline across the entire chip sector

Shares of US technology company Intel fell by 30%, dragging down the valuations of other semiconductor manufacturers. This was reported by Reuters.

The cause of the negative investor reaction was Intel's weak forecast, which raised concerns about the company's prospects and the state of the chip market.

Against the backdrop of Intel's share price drop, securities of a number of other technology companies also lost value. Specifically, shares of AMD, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Micron and Arm Holdings fell between 2% and 9%.

The decline also affected manufacturers of server and computer equipment. Shares of Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Super Micro Computer dropped by 6–12%.
