Critical indicators in the power grid

Residents of the Vyshhorod district in Kyiv Oblast are facing serious problems with electricity supply. The main complaint is sharp and dangerous voltage fluctuations in the grid.

It has been recorded that within one minute, voltage readings change from 180 to over 270 volts. For comparison, the maximum permissible standard is considered to be a level of 230 volts. Such spikes cause lighting fixtures to flicker and household appliances to operate unstably. To prevent breakdowns, people are forced to switch off their electrical household appliances.

Inverters not working due to protective systems

Consumers with inverter systems note that even during periods when there are no scheduled blackouts, they continue to consume energy from their battery packs. The causes of this phenomenon are explained by technical limitations of the equipment.

«Інвертор просто не підключається до мережі через стрибки напруги — в ньому стоїть заводський захист, який автоматично блокує підключення, щоб прилад не згорів. Тому світло ніби є, але насправді ми ним не користуємося. Через пару годин електрику знову відключать за графіком, а інвертор так і залишиться без зарядки» (The inverter simply does not connect to the grid due to voltage spikes — it has a factory-installed protection that automatically blocks connection so the device does not burn out. Therefore, the light seems to be on, but in reality, we are not using it. In a couple of hours, the electricity will be switched off again according to the schedule, and the inverter will remain uncharged), said Yuri, a resident of Novyi Petrovtsi.
