Aggressive incident in apartment

The morning of 21 October for a Belarusian family, who has been renting accommodation in Wroclaw for three years, began with the unexpected discovery of damaged front doors. Unknowns filled the structure with mounting foam and applied a red paint inscription reading "Won do siebie", which translates as "Get out". (Get out)

Due to the foam, residents were unable to leave the apartment normally, so the fire and rescue service was called. Rescuers helped clear the doorway, but the lock and the structure itself sustained damage. According to one of the residents, replacing the doors will cost approximately 4,000 zlotys.

Conflict with neighbours and possible xenophobia

The woman said that during their entire time living in this apartment, the family had not encountered such aggression. Previous misunderstandings had only been minor conflicts with neighbours, whom residents suspect of involvement in this incident. In her words, neighbours had previously threatened the family and even created a WhatsApp group to discuss them.

Meanwhile, it is currently unknown who exactly physically damaged the doors. The inscription on the doors led the family to fear that the attack may have had a xenophobic motive. However, residents emphasise that they do not want to groundlessly accuse specific individuals.

Reaction from law enforcement and the property owner

The family contacted the police. Investigators have already inspected the scene and collected the necessary materials. The woman also plans to seek legal assistance from the organisation NOMADA, which specialises in supporting migrants and assisting in cases of discrimination.

The apartment owner, according to the resident, reacted to the situation with detachment and believes it is an ordinary conflict between tenants and neighbours. Currently, law enforcement must determine who is involved in the door damage and whether the incident was motivated by hostility towards foreigners. For security reasons, the family's address and other personal data are not disclosed.
