Dialogue with Washington

Vladimir Putin expressed readiness to resume trilateral contacts involving representatives of Ukraine and the United States during a conversation with US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. The head of the Russian state himself made this statement.

Focus on security

According to Putin, the main subject of discussion should be security issues for both Kyiv and Moscow. In his view, these discussions should take place after agreements on conflict resolution are reached. The main goal of such negotiations, in the opinion of the Russian dictator, should be the establishment of a final peace.

Meanwhile, specific timelines for when trilateral meetings may begin, as well as details of a possible negotiation process, remain unknown, as Putin provided no clarifications on this matter.
