Russian attack on energy infrastructure causes water pressure drop in four Kyiv districts

As a result of a Russian strike on Kyiv's energy infrastructure, one of the capital's water supply facilities has been left without power. This has caused a drop in water pressure in the right-bank part of the city.

Where water supply issues have been recorded

According to Kyivvodokanal, reduced pressure levels have been recorded in four districts: Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi. Temporary water supply interruptions are possible in some buildings.

When the situation is expected to normalise

Company specialists note that pressure stabilisation in the networks will begin after power is restored to the water supply equipment. However, it will take some time to fully return to normal water supply operations.

Currently, Kyivvodokanal experts are monitoring the situation and taking measures to restore stable operation of the water supply system as quickly as possible.

Alternative sources of drinking water

For residents who have encountered a lack of water in their taps, a network of drinking water fountains is operating in Kyiv. Drinking water can be collected there. Up-to-date information on the location of the nearest fountains can be obtained on the official website of the municipal enterprise Kyivvodfond.
