According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Pattinson has successfully completed the casting process for the role of the legendary agent James Bond.

Connection with the director

The candidate selection process has been ongoing for nearly a year. Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the new instalment of the franchise. This makes Pattinson’s presence among the contenders logical: the actor already has experience working with the director, notably on the project “Dune 3”.

Competition for the role

Despite Pattinson’s success, the final decision has not yet been made. According to Deadline, other well-known actors remain on the shortlist. Among the final contenders are also the names of Jack Lowden, Nicholas Hoult, Callum Turner, and Josh O’Connor.
