Munich outraged by Russian strike on Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant

Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andriy Yermak stated that the Russian drone attack on the shelter of the fourth unit of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant has provoked not just concern, but genuine anger among world leaders.

According to him, in the 1980s, the international community helped mitigate the consequences of the disaster, while the Soviet authorities sent people into the radiation zone without protection. During that period, the Kremlin received advanced technologies, robots, equipment, and assistance from scientists from the West. 

Later, the international community invested in the construction of a protective sarcophagus, which was intended to safeguard humanity from radioactive contamination.
