Impact of yesterday's strikes on power supply

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy continued to attack civilian energy infrastructure. As a result, power outages were recorded in nine regions by morning: Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Rivne, Odesa, and Kharkiv oblasts.

Restoration work and safety measures

Ukrenergo representatives report that emergency restoration work has already begun where security conditions permit. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to all affected consumers as quickly as possible.

To prevent overloading equipment damaged by previous Russian strikes, load restriction schedules for industrial enterprises will be enforced in several regions until the end of the day. Hourly rolling blackout schedules of up to 2.5 stages will apply to all consumer categories. Specific blackout schedules for individual addresses can be found on the official resources of the respective regional power distribution companies.

Electricity consumption dynamics

Overall electricity consumption has decreased. As of 09:30 on 2 November, indicators were 1.6% lower than at the same time on the previous working day, Friday, 30 October.

The daily consumption peak on 1 November was recorded in the evening. This figure was 4.1% lower than the peak on the previous Sunday, 25 October. The reason for the change is forced restrictions due to enemy attacks.

Appeal to consumers

«Враховуючи наслідки російських обстрілів та погодні умови, зберігається необхідність в ощадливому споживанні електроенергії у вечірні години. Будь ласка, обмежте користування потужними електроприладами з 16:00 до 22:00» (Given the consequences of Russian strikes and weather conditions, the need for economical electricity consumption in the evening hours remains. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances from 16:00 to 22:00), Ukrenergo wrote.

Since the situation in the energy system may change due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, it is advisable to monitor official announcements on the websites and social media pages of regional power distribution companies.
