Oleksiy Komarovskyi reports skin cancer diagnosis: director prepares for surgery

Film director Oleksiy Komarovskyi spoke about the diagnosis given to him by doctors. According to him, he has skin cancer, and the tumour is located on his face.

The director announced this on his Instagram. He noted that doctors recommend urgent surgical intervention.

«У мене рак шкіри. З усіх можливих місць він обрав саме обличчя. І найдоступніше — його майже не видно. А він є. І треба терміново оперувати. Тому приховати наслідки від вас не вийде» (I have skin cancer. Of all possible places, it chose the face. And the most accessible one — it is almost invisible. But it is there. And it needs to be operated on urgently. So it will not be possible to hide the consequences from you), Komarovskyi wrote.

According to the director, he is currently waiting for the surgery date.

«Чекаю на дату операції. Що буде далі — поки не знаю. Як буду виглядати — поки не знаю. Мені легше, коли сказав…» (I am waiting for the surgery date. What will happen next — I do not know yet. How I will look — I do not know yet. It is easier for me when I have said it…)

Komarovskyi also reported that he will receive another doctor's opinion in the coming days.
