General Staff: Day 1714 of the war, 206 combat engagements and active offensive in Kostiantynivka

The war continues: Day 1714 of the Russian Federation's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. According to the General Staff, 206 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours. The most intense enemy actions were observed on the Kostiantynivka axis.

Scale of air and missile strikes

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy carried out 68 airstrikes, during which it dropped 234 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 8,297 suicide drones and conducted 2,491 shelling incidents targeting populated areas and Ukrainian military positions. Of these, 61 shelling incidents involved the use of multiple rocket launchers.

Numerous populated areas came under enemy fire, including: Bezsalivka, Koreniok, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Rohizne, Neskyuchne, Bachivsk, Yastrubshchyna, Sopych, Iskryskivshchyna, Mala Slobidka, Kozache, Volfine, Doroshivka, Potapivka, Nova Huta, Bunyachyne, Brusky, and Rozhkovychi in Sumy Oblast.

The missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces struck two enemy unmanned aerial vehicle control points.

Dynamics on northern and eastern axes

On the North-Slobodian and Kursk axes, the aggressor carried out eight assault operations, two airstrikes (dropping five guided aerial bombs), and 58 shelling incidents targeting Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, four of which involved multiple rocket launchers.

On the South-Slobodian axis, Ukrainian units repelled ten enemy attacks in the areas of the populated settlements of Izbitske, Hrafiske, Vovchanskyi Khutory, Okhrimivka, Shabelne, Chuhunivka, and Ambarne.

On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy launched three assaults towards Radkivka. On the Lyman axis, the Defence Forces repelled attempts to break through our defences, where the occupiers conducted nine attacks towards the populated settlements of Nove, Kolodyzi, Lyman, Zarychne, and Dibrova.

On the Sloviansk axis, defenders halted an enemy attempt to advance in the area of the populated settlement of Yampil. Meanwhile, on the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations.

Active front in Donetsk region

The highest number of combat actions was recorded on the Kostiantynivka axis — 21 attacks. The invaders conducted offensive operations in the area of the populated settlement of Kostiantynivka and towards Druzhivka, Novosilivka, Rainske, Sofiivka, Kucherov Yar, and Vilne.

On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy carried out 13 attacks, attempting to advance towards the populated settlements of Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Chernihivka, Svitle, Dobropillia, Myrne, and Serhiivka.

No assault operations were recorded on the Oleksandrivka axis. On the Hulyaipole axis, the occupiers attacked defender positions seven times, attempting to advance towards Uspishne, Ternuvate, Hirka, and Charyvne.

On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy conducted one assault operation, attacking towards Chervona Krynytsia. No assault operations were carried out on the Prydniprovske axis.

Situation in the north

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected on the Volyn and Polissia axes.
