Avenger air defence systems deployed near Trump's Palm Beach residence

US media have documented the deployment of air defence assets in the vicinity of US President Donald Trump's private residence. Journalists published photographs showing two systems located near the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Type of weapons installed

According to media reports, these are AN/TWQ-1 Avenger surface-to-air missile systems. These systems are designed to protect against aerial threats and are currently positioned directly next to the facility owned by the incumbent head of state.

Similar precedents

This is not the only instance where such defensive structures have been observed in close proximity to facilities associated with Trump. Previously, similar air defence systems were detected near his golf club located in New Jersey.
