Attack on rocket fuel production

On the night of 31 October, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck a target of the Russian military-industrial complex. The target was the Kamensky complex, located in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in the Russian Federation's Rostov region.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, strike unmanned aerial vehicles and missile forces were used to carry out the attack. In particular, Neptune coastal missile systems of the Ukrainian Navy took part in the combat operations.

Consequences of the strike

According to available data, a fire broke out in a warehouse of finished products at the facility following the attack. Four production workshops were also damaged.

The Kamensky complex specialises in the production of solid rocket fuel. Its products are used for the Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems, as well as a number of other missile systems and aerial means of destruction.

Destruction of depots in occupied territories

In parallel with the strike on the industrial facility in the north, Ukrainian forces hit four depots of the Russian army's material and technical resources. These facilities were located in the areas of Khartsyzk and Dokuchaivsk in Donetsk region, Novovasylivka in Zaporizhzhia region, and Novaidar in Luhansk region.

General Staff position

The Defence Forces emphasise that reducing the production capacity of solid rocket fuel directly affects the Russian armed forces' ability to shell Ukrainian settlements using multiple launch rocket systems.

The General Staff stressed that Ukraine continues to systematically strike targets that affect Russia's military-economic potential. Such actions are carried out within the framework of the right to self-defence, guaranteed by Article 51 of the UN Charter.
