Car arson incident in Lesser Poland

In Zielonki, in Poland's Lesser Poland Voivodeship, an incident occurred on 19 October that attracted the attention of law enforcement. The local police station received a report that a car was on fire in the street. Witnesses to the incident reported that a man was running around a Lexus, pouring a pink liquid over the vehicle.

Aggressive behaviour of the suspect

Bystanders attempted to detain the man, but he resisted and behaved aggressively. Employees of the state road service GDDKiA were also present at the scene, and the suspect assaulted them as well. According to police information, he smashed their official vehicle with a brick.

When a patrol arrived at the scene, the man attempted to flee, but law enforcement officers detained him. During this process, he continued to offer active resistance and attacked the police officers. To ensure safety and deal with the aftermath of the incident, additional police units and firefighters were called to the scene.

Detention and discovery of prohibited substances

While being transported to the detention centre, the detainee also damaged a police car. In the partially burnt Lexus, law enforcement officers found a bag containing prohibited substances. Expert analysis confirmed their nature.

According to the Krakow Voivodeship Police Department, the 33-year-old Ukrainian citizen was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident. The man worked at a local auto service that serviced this specific Lexus.

During a search of the suspect's residence, police seized nearly 200 grams of prohibited substances. Law enforcement officers note that these substances were prepared for sale.
