SBGS spokesperson Andrii Demchenko explained that the former Prosecutor General crossed the border via Shehyni on the basis of valid documents, and there were no travel bans.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) officially denies information that former Prosecutor General Kravchenko crossed the state border "on a call from Kyiv". According to the service's spokesperson, Andrii Demchenko, the departure took place exclusively on legal grounds.
According to data provided by Demchenko, Kravchenko crossed the Ukrainian border on the night before 14 September via the Shehyni checkpoint. At the time of departure, the border service's information systems contained no bans on border crossing for this individual. On the contrary, the system contained an instruction only to inform the relevant authorities of the fact of the former Prosecutor General's border crossing, not to detain him.
Border guards checked the documents presented by Kravchenko. They proved to be valid and confirmed the existence of an official business trip. No requests regarding travel restrictions or detention had been sent to the SBGS.
After the border crossing, the State Border Guard Service informed the authority that had previously sent the instruction about Kravchenko's departure. The SBGS emphasised that the version of the former Prosecutor General allegedly leaving the country "on a call from Kyiv" does not correspond to reality and is false.
