Emergency power cuts in effect in Kyiv on the morning of 16 October

As reported by the company DTEK, the cause of the emergency situation was enemy attacks on the power grid. The company's statement noted that these actions forced the application of emergency measures to disconnect consumers from the network.

The official message stated: «Київ: через атаку на енергообʼєкти застосовані екстрені відключення. Нагадаємо, під час екстрених відключень графіки не діють» (Kyiv: emergency outages have been applied due to an attack on energy facilities. We remind you that schedules do not apply during emergency outages).
