Polish Prime Minister confirms discovery of bodies

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed the public in the evening that the bodies of three people were found in the residence of the man suspected of carrying out the fatal shooting in central Krakow. The bodies were discovered in the city of Ostrowiec-Swietokrzyski.

According to official data from Polish authorities, the victims include two women and one man. Their bodies were spotted inside the building using drones. Although the official identification of the victims has not yet been completed, law enforcement agencies are inclined to assume that they may be close relatives of the suspect. Unofficial information suggests they are his parents and sister.

Evacuation of residents and investigation actions

Investigators and emergency services arrived at the scene as part of the standard procedure for investigating such crimes. For safety reasons, residents of the neighbouring building were evacuated in advance, and the building itself was cordoned off.

Polish media also reported that the suspect may have killed his parents before travelling to Krakow. Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński, responding to journalists' questions, urged caution in drawing conclusions until law enforcement officers have fully inspected the house.

Suspect's link to shooting club

The WP publication reports that the man was a member of the "Świt" sports club in Starachowice, which operates a shooting range. His 53-year-old father, Janusz O., was also a member of this club and had 11 registered units of sporting firearms.

It is known that the car used by the attacker during the trip to Krakow belonged to his father.
