The apartment business of Yuri Boyko's circle

Individuals linked to Yuri Boyko, the former leader of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, have acquired at least 1,107 apartments in Kyiv over the past decade through the investment fund "Hunter". The total investment in real estate may exceed $70 million.

According to the investigation, a significant portion of these properties is located in prestigious residential complexes in the capital, including "Dom na Vavilovych", "Kameroton", "French Quarter", Welcome Home and LaLaLand.

Who stands behind the "Hunter" fund?

The fund is registered to individuals from Yuri Boyko's inner circle. Although the politician himself is not officially listed among the owners, experts and Hromadske journalists note that he may be the one behind the scheme of buying real estate through nominees.

Yuri Boyko, who was stripped of his Hero of Ukraine title, was for a long time one of the main political ambassadors of the "Russian world" in the country. In 2022, his party, Opposition Platform — For Life, was banned, but his business assets appear to continue operating.

How were the purchases financed?

Acquiring such a volume of real estate requires significant financial injections. Journalists speculate that the funds may have come from schemes linked to the energy business Boyko was involved in previously. Alternatively, Boyko may be sponsored by Russia.
