Guarantees regarding sanctions pressure

European Council President Donald Tusk confirmed to Volodymyr Zelensky that the European Union would not allow Moscow to obtain any concessions that would facilitate the continuation of the war. The meeting took place in Brussels, where Tusk emphasised the unity of positions among European leaders.

«Немає абсолютно жодних причин для пом’якшення санкцій. Я вам це гарантую» (There are absolutely no reasons to ease sanctions. I guarantee you that), Tusk stated.

Discussion on defence and drone attacks

The President of Ukraine thanked Poland for its support and noted that the key topics of the dialogue were the intensification of Russian strikes using Shahed drones and the need to strengthen Ukraine's defence. Zelensky emphasised that the international community must not take actions that effectively help Russia continue hostilities.

Reaction to Trump's idea and the situation with infrastructure

Within the framework of the EU summit, the proposal by US President Donald Trump for an "energy truce" between Ukraine and Russia was also discussed. Meanwhile, Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure did not cease.

In a separate interview with the Financial Times, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine is lifting restrictions on striking Russian oil refineries, citing difficulties in obtaining intelligence data from the US and disruptions in Starlink operations.
