Unofficial data on the health of the North Korean leader

The British newspaper The Sun has published information about the critical health condition of North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un. According to unconfirmed reports, he fell into a coma as a result of a brain haemorrhage.

It is noted that due to the lack of necessary medical care in Pyongyang, the North Korean leader was urgently transported to a hospital in the Chinese capital, Beijing. There is currently no official confirmation of these reports.

Expert comments and possible scenarios

North Korea expert Benedict Rogers recalls that similar rumours about Kim Jong Un's death have emerged before.

Who could inherit power

In the event of the dictator's death, his sister Kim Yo-jong is named as a possible successor. A transfer of power to his daughter Kim Ju-ae is also possible, who in recent years has increasingly accompanied her father at official events.
