Plea deal reveals new details of the case
Artem Shilo, former adviser to the Office of the President who signed a plea deal admitting guilt, provided testimony concerning the activities of Major General Ilya Vityuk. Vityuk previously held the position of head of the SBU Cybersecurity Department.
According to information published by the outlet "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia", the investigation concerns the purchase of real estate in Kyiv at a price significantly lower than its actual market value.
Undervaluation of housing in Pechersk
Investigators established that the object of interest was an elite apartment located in the Pechersk district of the capital. This property was registered in the name of the general's wife.
According to the investigation data, the actual market value of the housing exceeds 21 million hryvnia. Meanwhile, the amount specified in the sales contract and official declaration is only 12.8 million hryvnia. This price discrepancy became the basis for opening the case.
