Denis Prokopenko, Commander of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov", commented on the high-profile events that took place in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka. According to him, the situation surrounding these incidents is being used to discredit the military.
Prokopenko emphasised the contrast between the actions of the military on the front line and the behaviour of certain individuals in the rear. He noted that the fighters of his corps daily carry out combat missions in active combat conditions, defending the state. Meanwhile, in his opinion, people who do not participate in the defence of the country are effectively committing sabotage by undermining the army's authority.
The Commander of "Azov" is convinced that a targeted information campaign has been launched around the incidents in Borshchahivka. Prokopenko claims that this campaign works exclusively to Russia's benefit.
According to the commander's assessment, the aim of such actions is to attempt to divide Ukrainian society and split the army.
