Fraudsters have set up shop on the upper floors of the Gulliver shopping centre in Kyiv, luring quick-profit seekers out of their money under the guise of stock trading. It later turns out that the trading was unsuccessful and all the money disappears from the balance.

This was told to journalists by the victims themselves. According to them, the fraud scheme is allegedly run by a certain Serhiy Ostapchuk. He positions himself as an expert in trading valuable assets and even teaches trading to beginners.

Subsequently, trader Ostapchuk offers to deposit funds into a brokerage account on a certain platform registered in an offshore jurisdiction, which is unlikely to even hold the necessary trading licences. Meanwhile, all communication with the exchange is conducted through an investment company located in the Gulliver shopping centre.

After a client loses all their money in the brokerage account, they receive a call from Ostapchuk's company offering assistance with trading. Naturally, this requires depositing additional funds into the account. This continues indefinitely until the person realises they have fallen victim to a fraudster and that there is no actual earnings involved.

Despite the fact that the pseudo-investment company is located in the very centre of the Ukrainian capital, law enforcement agencies are inactive. Ordinary people cannot access Ostapchuk's company offices. Security claims that no one is inside due to the quarantine. However, this does not correspond to reality. UNIAN reports, citing "Grosi".
