Consequences of the 18 October air raid

On 18 October, Russian forces struck Vinnytsia Oblast, resulting in the destruction of critical infrastructure facilities. This was announced by Natalya Zabolotna, head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.

Due to the destruction of infrastructure, emergency power outages have been introduced in the region. As Zabolotna noted, the energy supply situation will remain unstable in the near future.

Restoration works and backup power

Some critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power sources where necessary. Energy workers are already working to restore electricity supply.

The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration did not disclose the exact number of consumers left without power, nor a forecast for when supply will be restored.

Appeal to residents

Regional authorities are urging citizens not to switch on all electrical appliances simultaneously to avoid overloading the grid.

«Свідоме енергоспоживання - це наша допомога енергетикам» ("Conscious energy consumption is our help to energy workers"), Natalya Zabolotna emphasised.
