New hit on energy infrastructure

On the night of 3 November, Russian occupiers carried out another attack on the southern districts of Odesa region. The main target was a DTEK company energy facility, which had been under enemy fire multiple times over the past two months.

The scale of the damage was reported by the DTEK press service and the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper. According to the energy company, the strike occurred at midnight. “Руйнування значні. Відновлення обладнання потребуватиме часу” (“The destruction is significant. Restoring the equipment will take time”), DTEK stated, adding that specialists began emergency work as soon as the situation became safe for its execution.

Consequences of strikes on civilian objects

In addition to energy infrastructure, other objects in the south of the region were also damaged. As Oleh Kiper reported, as a result of the new attacks, administrative buildings, warehouses, and production workshops of a food industry enterprise were affected.

“Серйозно пошкоджено об'єкт ДТЕК Одеські електромережі. За останні два місяці він потрапляв під обстріл неодноразово. Значні руйнування енергообладнання призвели до перебоїв з електропостачанням. Фахівці вже працюють над усуненням наслідків” (“A DTEK Odesa Power Grids facility has been seriously damaged. Over the past two months, it has been subjected to shelling multiple times. Significant destruction of energy equipment has led to power supply disruptions. Specialists are already working to eliminate the consequences”), the head of the Regional Military Administration emphasised.

According to local authorities, fortunately, no one was injured as a result of these events.
