Letter to the Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship

Maksym Kozitsky, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, sent a letter to Wojciech Salusza, the Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship in Poland. In his appeal, the Ukrainian official drew the recipient's attention to the fact that the resolution declaring 2027 the year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) in this administrative unit has not yet been signed by the responsible officials and has not entered into legal force.

Position on foreign policy interests

Commenting on the situation, Kozitsky emphasised the importance of aligning decisions by local authorities with the state's overall interests. «Я переконаний, що рішення органів влади на всіх рівнях повинні враховувати інтереси зовнішньої політики України та добросусідські відносини з Республікою Польщею» ("I am convinced that decisions by authorities at all levels must take into account the interests of Ukraine's foreign policy and good-neighbourly relations with the Republic of Poland"), he stressed.
