Power supply restrictions on Saturday

On 31 October, Saturday, hourly power outage schedules will be applied in a number of regions of Ukraine. These measures will affect all consumer categories. Simultaneously, power capacity restrictions will be in force for industrial enterprises.

Timeframes and scale of restrictions

As reported by Ukrenergo, electricity consumption restrictions will be in effect throughout the day from 06:00 to 23:59. During this period:

  • power capacity restriction schedules apply to industry;
  • hourly outage schedules of 1.5 to 2.5 rounds are in effect for all consumer categories.

Causes and recommendations for consumers

The main reason for introducing such measures is the aftermath of mass Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Ukrenergo emphasises that the situation in the power grid may change depending on the course of Russian shelling.

Energy operators urge citizens to closely monitor current outage schedules and official announcements on the pages of distribution system operators (oblenenergo) in their respective regions. Consumers are also advised to be economical with electricity during periods when power supply is restored according to the schedule.
