Bumbox and Bez Obmezen received critical enterprise status

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has officially recognised the bands “Bumbox” and “Bez Obmezen” as critical enterprises. This means that their members and staff are exempt from mobilisation and will continue their activities without the risk of being conscripted into the army.

What explains this decision?

The Ministry of Culture likely took into account the artists’ active participation in charity concerts, which are held both in Ukraine and abroad. The funds raised at such events are directed towards supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, a large number of musicians and actors serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who do not claim draft exemption and defend the country alongside other military personnel.
