The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has recorded a critical situation with electricity supply in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. The cause was equipment damage resulting from Russian attacks, which led to disruptions in electricity transmission and the implementation of emergency outages.

Status of the energy system in other regions

In addition to the aforementioned regions, partial power outages have also been recorded in Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Kharkiv regions.

Complications in the restoration process

The ministry emphasises that repeated strikes on energy facilities significantly slow down restoration work. Attacks also target facilities whose repairs were already at the final stage. This forces energy workers to restore damaged equipment again, which automatically extends the time it takes to restore power for consumers.
