Repeat competition for asset management
The National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets (ARMA) has begun preparations for a new auction. The aim of the event is to determine a manager for 50% of the corporate rights in LLC "Halychke Perkhrestya". This company manages the eponymous market in Lviv.
According to ARMA's press service, the monetary equivalent of this stake has been set at 2.8 million hryvnia.
History of previous attempts
This is not the agency's first initiative regarding this asset. In November last year, ARMA already attempted to find a manager for 50% of the corporate rights. At that time, the starting price for enterprise management services was 300,000 hryvnia. Potential participants had to submit their proposals by 28 November.
However, one day before the scheduled auction, it was cancelled due to a discovered "technical error" in the tender documentation. After the errors were corrected, the competition was to be held again, but the second attempt also did not succeed.
What is included in the asset
The object of management includes the corporate rights of the company, which is the owner of the property located at: Lviv city, 2 Poliska Street. The complex includes administrative and utility premises, warehouse facilities, administrative and warehouse areas, a café-snack bar, as well as land plots of 0.1193 ha and 1.0686 ha.
One of these plots hosts a market with trading pavilions specialising in the retail sale of consumer goods.
Connection to the Kozak family
The company is linked to the family of former MP Taras Kozak, who is suspected of high treason. According to the analytical platform YouControl, the owners of LLC "Halychke Perkhrestya" are Lviv residents Yuriy Kavetskyi and Bohdan Kozak — Taras Kozak's brother — in equal shares.
In July 2024, the Lychakivskyi District Court of Lviv issued a decision to seize Bohdan Kozak's stake in the company. This occurred within the framework of a criminal case regarding the evasion of tax payments and the forgery of documents by several companies linked to Taras and Bohdan Kozak. The amount involved was 75 million hryvnia. Subsequently, 50% of the corporate rights were transferred to ARMA's management.
