Threat to reveal data

Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko threatens to publish materials from criminal proceedings concerning the leadership of anti-corruption agencies. He made this decision against the backdrop of searches being conducted at the premises of high-ranking officials of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Searches and accusations of revenge

According to Kravchenko, investigative actions are ongoing involving three SBU heads. Their units previously investigated cases against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, as well as members of the close entourage of SAP Head Oleksandr Klymenko and his family.

«Вся інформація по цьому провадженню буде мною оприлюднена. Як і коментар щодо закриття кримінального справи проти директора НАБУ» (All information on this case will be published by me. As will a comment on the closure of the criminal case against the NABU Director), Kravchenko stated, calling the current events "political revenge".

Details of investigative actions

As reported by "Ukrainska Pravda", among the figures against whom searches are being conducted are SBU General Serhiy Duka and Head of the SBU Main Directorate of Internal Security Anton Kravchuk.

NABU also reported that during the investigative actions, one of the high-ranking SBU officials threatened detectives with a firearm and obstructed the conduct of a court-authorised search.

Context of the conflict

Previously, the Centre for Countering Corruption associated Duka with forceful operations against NABU in 2025. As early as September, Kravchenko stated that a suspicion had been signed for NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, but this decision was later rescinded, and the criminal proceedings were closed.

Now the former Prosecutor General is effectively putting anti-corruption officials under the threat of public disclosure of investigation materials that concern their leadership and close associates.

It appears that the confrontation between security forces and Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies is finally turning into a war of compromising material, where each side is ready to use accumulated materials against the other.
