Shanghai opens first training base for robots

A unique centre in China has begun operations, where robots are trained to perform various tasks, from household assistance to car assembly.

What can the robots do?

At the new base, androids are learning to solve everyday tasks, play football, and master complex industrial processes such as car assembly. The data obtained during the training process is planned to be used to improve technologies and shared with various companies.

Project scale

Currently, the centre houses more than 100 robots, but its scale will grow significantly by 2027 — the number of androids is planned to increase to 1,000.
