Daniil Hetmanets reports on annual results and sends another message to Concord

Daniil Hetmanets, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, presented the results of the gambling industry's performance in 2024.

Financial results

According to him, despite scandals, investigations, and the exit of some companies from the market, the gambling sector contributed 17 billion hryvnias to the budget of Ukraine. This is 7 billion more than his committee colleague, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, had forecast last year. Hetmanets emphasised that such growth was made possible by measures to de-shadow the industry.

Mention of "Concord"

In his speech, Hetmanets also addressed a comment to the owners of "Concord" Bank, Yelena and Yulia Sosedka, who have been defending themselves against accusations of involvement in mis-coding schemes for the second year running. Judging by his words, the story of these proceedings is far from over, and the "series," as Hetmanets put it, will continue in a new season.
