Kyiv does not want to participate in bilateral fuel arrangements

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has no intention of being involved in agreements between the United States and Russia concerning diesel fuel. The head of state emphasised that Kyiv does not want to be drawn into such mechanisms.

Readiness to cooperate under the condition of an energy truce

At the same time, Zelensky highlighted Ukraine's readiness to assist the American side in resolving certain issues if Washington requests help. However, the president outlined a condition: Ukraine expects reciprocal steps, specifically the establishment of an energy truce.

«Якщо ви звернетеся до нас по допомогу, звісно, як партнери, ми допоможемо, але просимо вас про енергетичне перемир'я» (If you turn to us for help, of course, as partners, we will help, but we ask you for an energy truce), Volodymyr Zelensky stated.

Response to potential attacks

The president made these remarks in an interview with the Financial Times. According to Zelensky, if Russia continues to attack Ukraine, Kyiv will respond to these strikes.
