Ukrainians can expect a change in the weather scenario: after several days when thermometers showed values 3–7 degrees above the climate norm, a gradual cooling will begin on Tuesday, 27 October. The main feature of this period is that, along with the temperature drop, the amount of rain will decrease in most regions of the country.
This was reported by Nataliia Ptukha, Head of the Media Relations Department at the Ukrhydrometcenter, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. According to her, the cause of these changes will be the arrival of cooler air masses from the north-west.
On the night leading into 27 October, cooling to +2...+7 degrees is expected in most regions of Ukraine. It will be slightly warmer in the south-east of the country — from +5 to +10 degrees. Daytime thermometer readings will range from +10 to +15 degrees.
On Wednesday, 28 October, no significant changes in the temperature regime are expected.
Despite the cooling, rainy weather will recede. On 27 October, short-lived rains are possible mainly in the central regions, and at night — in the north. The next day, 28 October, most regions will remain without precipitation, with only the east and south-east of the country being the exception.
The most noticeable temperature drop will be recorded from 29 October. Nighttime readings will fall to +1...+7 degrees, while daytime air will warm up only to +8...+14 degrees. Meteorologists note that no significant frosts are expected by the end of October, and temperature values will gradually approach the climate norm typical for late autumn.
Thus, the last days of October will bring cool but mostly dry weather.
