Dispute over access to tribunal premises

Video recordings have appeared online capturing a tense situation near the Polish Constitutional Court. The footage shows the country's presidential assistant, Jakub Nadstawny, attempting to obtain the keys to the institution's premises. His actions sparked a dispute with representatives of the judiciary.

Conflict with judges whose mandates are disputed

The confrontation arose between Nadstawny and judges Maciej Bereza and Anna Korwin-Piotrowska. It is worth noting that the Polish president's entourage does not recognise the legality of these two judges' mandates.

Circumstances of the incident

According to the published materials, the judges were inside the tribunal building at the moment when President Nawrocki entered with representatives of the presidential office. The video shows him passing through a crowd of people and a police cordon.
